Thank you to everyone who supported our project for The Child Mind Institute, a nationwide nonprofit that supports children, young people, and families struggling with mental health challenges and learning disorders. They also train educators in underserved communities, and conduct research that is helping to develop breakthrough treatments. 

 

Millions of children – as many as 1 in 5 – struggle with mental health or learning challenges, yet 70% of U.S. counties do not have a single child and adolescent psychiatrist. In 2021, the AAP,  American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Children's Hospital Association declared a national state of emergency for child and adolescent mental health. We are still in that emergency, and the CMI’s work is more important than ever.

 

Your generosity provided forty blankets to young people who participate in CMI’s group workshops, the Brave Buddies Program for Selective Mutism and the Social Anxiety Program, as well as $1,000 directly to The Child Mind Institute!
